Ugandan adventure for the van Barneveld’s!
15 Aug 2011
Marty and Ali van Barneveld, newlyweds from Wellington, are travelling to Uganda in late September to live and work alongside the ORA Uganda team.
Ali has a health and community work background, and will spend a few months there. Marty, a professional triathlete will spend a few weeks with ORA then travel to Kenya for altitude training.
Sports events, a community survey, health and wellbeing, raising awareness and funds for ORA’s Safe Water Project, inspiring, motivating and “just loving on the kids of ORA Uganda” are just some of the ways Ali and Marty will serve the people of West Nile, Uganda.
Ali says “We are so excited and can’t wait to be swept away by the culture, the people and the hearts of those we are yet to meet in Uganda – knowing full well that we ourselves will be receiving much more than we can give, learning much more than we could ever teach and be inspired in far greater ways!”
While Marty and Ali are in Uganda they will see first hand how safe water can transform lives and communities. Will you partner with us to change more lives with the gift of Safe Water?
